We support teachers as they adopt new methods which encourage pupils to take more responsibility and initiative in learning. By applying these methods, the teacher becomes a facilitator rather than a mere provider of information. The approach helps pupils to i. improve their capability to identify opportunities, ii. improve their competence to develop ideas on how to take advantage of opportunities, and iii. enlarge their capacity to turn plans into reality.

As of today, 14 project schools and 42 associated schools are involved in the project. Teachers praise the curriculum as well as the highly professional approach of Schola Empirica’s administrative team. One of the teachers from Hradec Králové summarized his feelings about the project: “I would say that the project has taken off very well. Goals are good and relevant not only for pupils but for the whole society. I was afraid of the administration related to the project. However, the system of reporting and sharing of documents is quite fine. It does not consume much time to service it.”

The guarantor of the project is NGO Schola Empirica. The NGO has focused on the transfer of evidence-based methods to the Czech educational system since 2004. The project is financed from EU funds.
