The main idea of the project is to strengthen the parenting competences of families socially excluded or at risk of social exclusion through a new type of support - professionally moderated parenting groups based on the internationally proven methodology "Lifelong Healthy Parenting Programme for Young Children". The project aims to develop the expertise of social workers in the area of strengthening parenting skills, and will provide parents with intensive support in the development of parenting competences.

The aim of the project is to innovate social services aimed at supporting parenting skills, targeting social and field workers who visit families as part of their services, and providing them with a proven tool to support parents' parenting skills - only on the basis of positive feedback (the so-called serve-return skill). The innovation builds on the existing model of field services, but innovates on the nature, i.e. on the method and content of interventions.

KiVa is an innovative bullying prevention and intervention programme that has been developed by combining the rich experience of previous intervention programmes and cutting-edge research in more than 1000 schools in Finland and around the world. The programme was further implemented e.g. in the Netherlands, Estonia, Italy and Wales. The methodology is based on a comprehensive approach with a wide range of tools - it targets teachers, pupils and parents and includes a variety of activities throughout the school year.

Introduction and validation of a methodology for the development of socio-emotional skills in kindergartens and primary schools

The project responds to three neglected areas of the pre-primary and primary education system. It provides validated and comprehensive tools for teachers, unifies the way of working with the issue of social-emotional skills and incorporates it into the curriculum, allows for continuity between the development of social-emotional skills in preschool and school education and, last but not least, provides proven ways of involving parents in the educational process of children and establishing a partnership relationship with the family.

The aim of the BE-CHILD project is to support pre-school teachers and educators to be able to effectively support the development of social and emotional skills in pre-school children. This includes, for example, equipping pre-school teachers and educators with the ability to assess children's maturity and capacity for inclusive behaviour to better prepare children for the transition to primary school, and achieving a common way of teaching social and emotional skills across EU Member States - this project will promote international trust and cooperation.
